Submit your work

Tomorrow and Tomorrow now publishes yearly. Submissions open for the 2023 issue on April 1, 2022.

Submit your work to tomorrowanthology@gmail.com. In your email, please let us know where you heard about Tomorrow and Tomorrow.

Simultaneous submissions are okay, but please promptly notify us by e-mail if your piece is accepted elsewhere. Multiple submissions by the same author at the same time are also okay. We prefer submissions of work that is previously unpublished in print or online (including your website or blog), but we do sometimes publish reprints. If your submission has been published previously (including on your website or blog), please let us know when you submit.

We cannot currently offer payment, but all accepted contributors will receive a free copy of the issue in which their work appears.

We request first North American serial rights and nonexclusive electronic rights (to promote excerpts online). All other rights remain with the author.

Submission Categories

We seek fiction, nonfiction, essay, memoir, personal narrative, scripts, poetry, and photography and other visual art.

FICTION

Stories from 50 to 7,500 words. Open to most genres, but particularly interested in literary fiction, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, gothic horror, and magical realism.

NONFICTION, ESSAY, MEMOIR

Up to 7,500 words.  Open to all topics, but particularly interested in essays regarding current events or literary/cultural trends; also, memoir, nonfiction, or essays regarding childhood, growing up, or aging.

POETRY

Up to 5 poems or 1 longer poem.  Any subject matter, but we look for strong imagery, word choices that make us do a double-take, and creative use of meter. Bonus for marrying poetry and visual art.

PERSONAL NARRATIVES

Any length, any topic. The kind of thing you'd write to deliver at an event like The Moth or Word.

VISUAL ART

Photography, painting, drawing, collage, or other visual art that can be photographed or scanned and rendered in color or black and white in the pages of the anthology.

SCRIPTS

Up to 10 pages. Sketches, short plays, film shorts. Any subject, just make us see it in our heads as we read.
